On My Own Preschool will provide your child with an exciting place to learn and grow! Our students explore creativity through art, music, Bible stories and open-ended activities. Each day will be uniquely structured with circle time and group projects to establish socialization.
Our curriculum is theme-based, filled with a variety of fun, hands-on activities that help your child develop and get ready for school. Children learn best by playing and doing. Research has confirmed that the healthiest environments for children are those that allow them to explore and experiment. At On My Own Preschool, children are allowed to discover things at their own pace and in their own unique way. This helps your child become an enthusiastic learner who is self-confident.
Children 3-4 yrs. (3 yrs. by August 1) will attend two mornings per week, two and a half hours each morning. Children who are 4-5 yrs. will attend class three mornings per week, two and a half hours each morning.
Each class will hear and learn God’s Word daily and be blessed with weekly chapel services led by Pastor Gillespie. Our religious instruction is firmly rooted in the Holy Scriptures and confessed faithfully according to Luther’s Small Catechism. Click here to learn more about the Lutheran confession.
Your child will be escorted from your car into the classroom each morning and at the end of class they are brought to your car. This is a great benefit to Moms who have other little ones with them!
We are blessed to have Ms. Nicole Sitter as instructor for our students. Her dedicated Christian service and enthusiasm for teaching provide a warm and inviting atmosphere for a child’s first structured learning experiences. Music is an integral part of the curriculum and Ms. Sitter is well equipped to enrich your child’s learning process through singing and the use of rhythm instruments. Outside of teaching, Ms. Sitter enjoys performing with The Silverwood Trio and at her church. Prior to coming to Grace, Ms. Sitter taught at Sonshine Enrichment Center in Highland for three years.
Mission Statement: Our mission is to nourish the children and provide them with a warm and loving Christ-centered environment where children can develop to their fullest potential spiritually, socially, intellectually, emotionally, and physically.
Registrations for On My Own Preschool classes are being taken now! We teach children from the Tri-town (Dyer, Schererville, St. John) area and beyond. Space is limited.
